Virginia just cancelled the rest of its school year. I would hate to be one of these students, having to delay even further getting into college, and ultimately making some betabuxx so as to get some pussy.

Trump should just have said, "Buy or make at home whatever masks you can, and be diligent to wipe down surfaces, if you want to do your part to stop the coronavirus."

Good you enjoyed college, I hated it with every fiber of my being (Virginia Tech). Although community college wasn't the worst thing in the world.

I thought of going to Tech but I had a friend who was going to Mason so I ended up just being roommates with him. Then the following year I lived in an absurdly expensive one-bedroom apartment with my gf, and led a pretty unhappy and lonely existence because she worked the second shift, so she was either gone or asleep most of the time I was home. Then I ended up getting busted for weed in that apartment and she broke the lease and moved out, sticking my mom (as co-signer) with the remaining months' rent.

Community college was okay, although I didn't make any friends while I was there.

did you go for pussy or for learning? Sounds like you got ur gf during college.

I went to college for pussy, because I had already taken college courses in HS. Was a waste of time because I wasn't sporty and all the nerdy girls had the hots for the grad students.

I didn't meet her at college, I met her at the mental hospital when I got depressed over (1) not getting pussy and (2) having to live in the same room as my roommate and his gf, who were getting to have sex (e.g. when they thought I was asleep).

but regardless I'm not looking for women anymore, done with dating, have bigger issues
making money
etc
Yeah, I've given up on making money and at this point just want to make a difference.

The old education model is very inefficient, if you know what you are doing you can learn better online for free.

The value in formal education is mostly just getting a paper that you are capable, it's not actually about learning things you need to know to function well on a company.

In many cases you can even attend classes even if you are formally registered, in addition you can find a lot available online for free so you dont even have to formally attent, often formal registration only give you the right to write the exam and get credited, that service could be offer at a far lower cost.

Universities like harward dont have any real incentive to improve since they turn away over 95% https://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2...ops-percent/d1Hbwilgr7MrHwUBrccNjO/story.html

The general issue with higher education is that it is too specific, instead of you learning a wide range of useful skills you focus only on a single topic. It is however very unlikely that you will properly remember what you were though and also be able to properly use it.

Given this information you may as well give up on the idea of education to get a job to become a productive citizen, instead why not actually study something that interest you?

Mathematics has the advantage of having wide ranges of usage, especially statistics.

Constant stress
When you enroll at a university you subject yourself to constant stress, in addition to the exam there are often other moments you need to pass like writing reports and if you miss just one moment you will not get credited.

So it will be difficult to relax since you have this constant stress hanging over you, have you really studied enough for the exam? will you have time to write your lab reports?

In addition to that you might have to deal with financial worries, often you will have to take loans to cover your expenses while studying and in many countries this support is conditioned with you passing, even if you do everything right you might still not officially pass becuase the individual who is grading your report is taking 8 months to do it.

It stops being fun
Even if you initially had interest in the subject the constant stress and requirements will typically change that and it might kill your interest in a subject you loved.

This will depend on the pace at the university but the issue here is that if they take longer time to teach you stuff you will have to wait longer until you are finished with your education.

If your university is flexible then you can decide for yourself about what pace you are going to study at, you must be ready to quickly drop out if it is too difficult, you can try again later.

Online education is superior
When you study online you have total freedom to decide what to study, at what pace and who you are going to listen to.

You can download ebooks online to read.

People make youtube videos that are superior to typical university lectures

One compromise is to combine online education with a bachelor degree, the purpose of the degree will be to prove you are capable of learning, the purpose of your self-education is to actually learn important things.

The case against STEM education
In order to do well in stem you need to typically have to dedicate your life to it from an early age, but what do you actually get for all that effort you were putting in?

This is however not adjusted for intelligence, often people that go into STEM and finish a degree are very smart and would have made a lot of money anyway.
