Best gender-bender (MtF) anime

0. Kashimashi girl meets girl
One of the best aspect of the anime is the personality of the main character. The show does a very good job in making you like him/her and it's nice to follow her growth. The main character does behave realistically (similar to how a real person would behave) and does not freak out when using female changing rooms.

Far too many shows have a male main character is creepy incel but in this show the main character never make a big deal about things like nudity itself, instead the focus of the show is the social interactions. The nudity of the show is very limited and used for immersion rather than trying to provide the viewers with sexual excitement.

The show also does a good job illustrating how changing your sex can come with some challenges, her closest friend had a hard time accepting her change to a female.

Watching the show you to get the impression that the main character do like being female even though he/she never consented to changing his/her sex. The main character seem to care more about other people around her than her body, this is the opposite of how a lot of people are today where they are obsessed with how they look and spend a lot of money on makeup, surgeries, etc.

1. Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo
The anime is not particularly centered around gender bender but to the extent it does it it's very well done. T

The anime does have a great main character that is willing to take drastic actions to save other people. Sometimes the main character was too rash even for my taste but that was also useful in moving the story forward. The other characters in the anime are also good making it debatable if it should really be #1 rather than #0, it's like i didn't enjoy the anime to the extent i should have.

The anime does take place in a highschool/university environment but the actual plot is very high stakes (live and death).

2. Kimi no na wa (your name)
This is a very good time-travel anime that does feature body-swap.

It is a great anime but unfortunately it's a movie rather than an actual anime series. I generally avoid movies since they are ending by the time you finally get into the characters but i actually enjoyed watching this.

Part of the reason why it isn't placed higher on the list is that the gender-bender aspect isn't very prevalent in addition to the writer kinda forcing the story to go a certain way for romantic effect.

3. tsf monogatari
tsf monogatari is an unhinged hentai where the main character is turned into a girl as part of their cancer treatment. After that she is molested and then raped which she enjoyed soo much she becomes a sex-addict that loads out her body to various unworthy males and eventually get pregnant.

This is a rare example of an hentai actually being enjoyable to watch. A big reason for this is that the anime makes you very much like the main character only to then see her be sexually violated in all sorts of ways.

Watching this might give you autogynephilia though which is good if you are going to transition but not so good if you belong to the 98%+ not suited for transmaxxing.

The anime is also only 2 episodes long.

4. Interspecies Reviewers Episode 3
This is a nice hentai episode that feature very good sex but not much in terms of social interactions since they live on a transphobic planet that forces people to be confined to one location when they medically change to female (at least for the society where the anime take place).

II do not like the fact that it didn't take place in anything close to our current human society, instead most characters are like furries where they have human-intelligence combined with a lot of animal traits. Sorry but zoophilia and furry stuff isn't something i prefer when it comes to anime. This is a shame since the sex-stuff is very well executed for this episode (even better than tsf monogatari), it's also limited to just one episode.

5. Level 1 Demon Lord & One Room Hero
This is actually a really good anime where you follow a demon who reincarnated into a girl.

Unlike some anime where the main character freaks out due to being turned into a girl here she is kinda fine with it from the start and never once in the series express any interest about being male.

The demon does at first start as a very young looking girl but sometimes turns herself into a very attractive teenage girl.

6. Kämpfer
This is a great example of anime that had a lot of potential only to squander most of it.

It is still very much enjoyable even if it isn't realistic at all. loads of females love the main character as a girl as if all females would be lesbian.

The anime does take place on a sex-segregated highschool and outside the highschool for various activities. It's very much focused on recreational activities such as festivals and karaoke while the fights in the game are pretty much a joke.

Still the anime does have some really nice episodes including some sexy content even if it never goes full hentai. I don't even remember seeing nudity.

7. Tetsuwan birdy decode
In this anime the main character never really controls a female body, instead he experiences being female by having his consciousness be placed inside a body of an alien that looks sortoff like a female.

The alien consciousness does at at least one occasion control the body in the male state but not the other way around which is a missed opportunity for nice MtF gender bender. I did actually like it a lot first time i watched it but it didn't fare too well during the second time i watched it, i also didn't like the second season and dropped it early on.

The actual story is still good even if it isn't that much of a gender bender due to how it plays out.

8. Heavenly Delusion
This is a very brutal anime that also has an interesting gender-bender aspect too it.

This is a rare example of an anime that does feature things like sex/nudity while also having a great story.

The writers were kinda unhinged.

Unfortunately i found it to be a bit unpleasant to watch a lot of the time which is why it isn't higher on the list.

9. Ranma 1/2 (including the OVA)
This is a very long and enjoyable anime where the main-character is turned into a girl from cold water but back into a boy from hot water.

While the anime does have many good moments it also lacks story progression. The anime at the end of episodes/arcs tend to return back to a status quo rather than progressing forward. We do not see Ranma aging or graduating, we do not see him/her starting a family or even progressing into a relationship.

The films and the OVA is of higher quality than the anime itself typically delivers.

The nice aspect with the anime is the large quantity of episodes to watch, more than all other gender bender anime combined.

The anime does show bare breasts sometimes but it never shows vagina/penis.

You could argue that it should be higher on the list thanks to uniqueness and the amount of great content it delivered but unfortunately it had too much mediocre content and slow story to get there if we go by the average quality rather than when the show is at its best.

It's a chinese anime about an emperor and an empress switching bodies and then having people constantly go after them trying to kill/hurt them.

The anime get's really good at times but it often also becomes frustrating to watch.

11. Ore twintails ni narimasu
This anime mixes comedy with seriousness and actually executes it well.

The anime overall is enjoyable and has nice progression. The antagonists are utter creeps and losers which makes you enjoy them being utterly defeated. A big refresher from the loser/creep main character format far too common especially in modern anime.

The main character transforms into a female for fighting but doesn't do much social stuff as a female.

12. Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudou
It's a nice anime where one of the character is forced to become a girl and hates it for most of the series.

Early some of the characters were really annoying but it got better later on in the anime.

One annoying aspect with the anime is how it teases you with sex stuff without ever really delivering the goods. We do not see the main character making any female pregnant for example.

The gender bender character and the main character might be the best ones in the entire anime but it's kinda hard to evaluate. Main issue with the main character is him being really sex-phobic.

13. When i woke up i became a bagel girl
The main character is a struggling male who became fat after being subjected to extreme bullying, then she woke up as a girl.

While i cannot relate too much with the main character atleast he/she is sympathetic and generally tries to do the right thing, he/she also grows as a character and later in the anime it very much does feel like the right thing, from loser to an admirable hero.

The anime does have some very good moments in it and the story is also high stakes and has realism to it rather than featuring an overly idealized society,

14. Reborn to Master the Blade
The main character used to be a very noble king who then got reincarnated into a girl.

The main character is extremely overpowered but fights are not really the focus of the anime. The main character being overpowered does actually come with an advantage, it gives credibility to the main-character surviving bad situation, no need to add "plot armor" protecting the main character.

While the main character is a female that really doesn't have much impact on the actual plot.

You do the the main character grow up but i think that is done too quickly.

15. Cheeky Angel
The story is about a a hyper-masculine girl who was a boy when she was younger and still identified as male for most of the anime.

The anime is focused on physical fights where the main character is extremely strong to the point where it's extremely unrealistic.

I would have preferred a more varied story and some explanation for the super-human abilities the main character has such as him gaining some super-human abilities while being transformed into a female but no according to the anime she did not gain strength or anything when turned into a female, she is just very skilled as a fighter supposedly.

16. ayakashi-triangle
The anime does have a nice main character who got turned into a girl.

The main character doesn't really complain about it but his/her friend became upset and wants him/her to change back into a guy.

It would be higher on the list if it wasn't for the blatant and uneccessary censorship that plagues the show. It had been way higher up on the list if they had the balls to show some bare breasts at least.

They may release an uncensored bluray/dvd version later but as of know i have to rate it based on the anime you can currently access.

The anime takes place inside what used to be a video-game world. The main character is very much overpowered and never in any real danger. The main character who used to play the game as a male with a male character suddely finds himself/herself into this world for reasons that are never explained in the actual anime (at least not the episodes that have aired so far).

The anime is still enjoyable to watch.

18. youjo senki
For this anime the main character is riencarnated into a girl. Most of the anime is about war similar to world war I except that there are mages including the main character.

While the main character is female she doesn't have much of a female figure in part because she is young for most of the anime. Instead the anime focuses on people being killed left and right.

The main character is an asshole which makes the story more interesting.

19. Rei Rei episode 1
This is an hentai that has meh sex but at least the story that took place for the first epside was interesting. Unfortunately the protagonist was a loser-male type i cannot relate to.

Only 1 episode of gender bender as far as i know and it was focused on sex.

Had the show contained more gender bender and been less about hentai it would have been placed much higher on the list. Instead the gender-bender part ends the same episodes where it started which is very much disappointing and lame.

20. Qwaser of Stigmata II
The anime is a semi-hantai focused on breasts where qwasers suck breasts to get soma. The story itself isn't particularly great and most of the gender-bender in season 2 is just crossdressing but it did feature actual physical change.

The redeeming aspect with the anime is that the main character is an assertive and very capable male who get shit done, this compensates for the anime being weak in many other ways. The sexual aspects of the anime was meh but at least it had a story going for it with some excitement.

21. Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi
English title: Redo of Healer

Very unhinged anime full of torture, humiliation and senseless killings. It features an interesting main character that is becoming increasingly overpowered as the anime progresses.

It's filled with sex-content.

There is actually an uncensored version out there but unfortunately i didn't know that until i had already watched all episodes for season 1.I did later watch the uncensored version for some of that and the sex was actually pretty good, far better than most hentais.

The story is ok but not more.

22. Naruto & buroto (only some MtF moments).
Naturo, naruto shippuden and boruto in total has over 1000 episodes and whie many of these are good (with some being very good) way too many episodes are mediocre at best with many being downright bad.

I actually liked the filler arc that has al alternate timeline for sasuke (where his clan wasn't genocided) more than i liked the main story.

I used to watch boruto every week the day it aired but i later got fed up with the anime for some reason and i stopped watching it.

The show does feature some gender bender as "sexy jutsy" where the character transforms themselves into what looks like a female, this however is not very commonly used.

23. Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister!
This anime has both been hailed as some supposedly amazing gender bender while also upsetting some people by featuring young girls in sexual or at least semi-sexual situations.

I was skeptical even getting into it and i was still disappointed.

The biggest issue is that the main character started out as a loser neet and didn't really improve much from being turned into a young girls. The main character has so far (7 episodes in) managed to pee herself twice and is being constantly pushed around by others including her sister (who turned him/her into a girl in the first place).

She was turned into a menstruating girl that supposedly also has breasts but when you watch the actual anime you cannot really see much of these breasts that she supposedly got, instead she looks like a young prepubescent female which i do not find sexually attractive, maybe if i had been a pedophile (an actual real one) i would have enjoyed it more, hard to tell.

The main character hasn't really aged much if anything 7 episodes in. You do not see her developing bigger breasts and so far she has not had any real relationship or sex. Nothing close to actually becoming pregnant as a female or having to take on adult responsibilities.

The anime is also overly idealized where the society is portrait as basically perfect where the main character became a loser neet incel due to faults of his own rather than societal issues.

It would had been better if the main character actually had to go through some hardships or unfair treatments such as having boys groping her or having been bullied as a male, something to make you have more sympathy for the main character.

Update after 12 minutes: the main character made no real progress in life besides forming friendships with young girls.

24. Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken
The anime is about a guy who reincarnated as an overpowered slime in another world. He later gains the ability to take the form of a female but unfortunately said female is very much flat-chested and he kept using his slime-form a lot after that making it even more lame.

One annoying thing about the anime is how it's portrayed like a videogame. The main character has some connection to "raphael" which is sortoff like a computer ai that helps him analyze various situations, this is never really explained and it makes the main character even more overpowered.

Most characters in the anime is pretty bad, the main character is meh and he is better than most.

The anime in general has a cringe feeling to it. It's like the writers are constantly forcing a feel-good narrative instead of making the story more brutal. These issues mostly disappeared in season 2 luckily.

I actually dropped it after watching the first episode earlier but i am actually glad i picked it up again after finishing season 2. Season 2 was such a big improvement that i moved the anime up a few spots on the list.

Kinda disappointing the anime ended right after that, barely qualifies as gender bender.
