Casino companies obviously want people to lose money, they do not even want to give people a chance to beat them.

Often with online casinones the games are openly rigged against the gamblers in the sense that if you keep playing there you will eventually lose everything.

There is however ways in which you can make some money out of gambling providers even if it very often isn't worth the effort.

Bonus hunting
Casino companies do want to attract new costumers and one common strategy for doing so is to provide various bonuses and often if you can utilize those bonuses to temporarily gamble with positive EV.

Note that you shouldn't do this if you know you are prone to problem gambling obviously since casinos wouldn't provide those bonuses if it wasn't overall profitable for them to do so. They are willing to have some people profit from it due to how profitable it is for them to attract gambling addict, they only need 1% to lose 100000$ to profit from providing everyone a 500$ bonus.

Personally i am pretty much exclusively interested in playing poker to the point where i didn't even bother to hunt bonuses on places that didn't provide that. There were also sites that only provided a bonus for casino games and not for poker which was a bit annoying since i kinda wanted to try unibet poker again after beating NL4 there.

Poker freerolls
Unfortunately almost all the freerolls have disappeared here in Sweden at least (after the government passed some laws to get more money from the online casinos which ended up also targeting poker). But there is still bet365 here that does provide a 50$ freeroll every day, unfortunately you only win tournament tickets there and i rarely win anything from those tickets.

I have earned maybe 200$ from poker freerolls so far but i am mainly a recreational player currently.

There is also some poker tournament where you can enter for less than the average win in the tournament. Can be due to not enough people signing up (was the case with partypoker years ago) or due to them making it almost free to enter as a way to attract players. Years ago i was able to enter into nice poker tournament from playing cash games (1 raked hand was the minimum) so i would play near the abolute minimum just to gain access to those profitable tournaments.

Sports betting
With a lot of online casinos you are not actually betting against other players, instead you are betting against the house and this results in some of their users being able to gamble their to over time win more and more money from them.

What those sites ended up doing was to set up systems to ban all the winning players for "gambling addiction" while the losing players were able to just keep playing indefinitely.

There are also some sites where you instead gamble against other players and there you generally do not get banned for being for making money out of it. Then however you are not actually beating the house, you are merely beating other player (similar to how you can make money on poker despite the rake)

Card counting in blackjack
For a long time it has been possible to actually get a small edge against the house via card counting and other strategies at some casinos (typically physical ones) but of course the people discovered to do that will be barred from playing more if they think they have an edge against the casino.

Note that casinos sometimes stop losing card-counters from playing since they are often bad at figuring out who actually profits from it.

It being possible to get an edge on the house probably helps the casino attract a lot of fools thinking they will be able to get an edge only to lose loads of money.

Illegal cheating
There is of course illegal methods to make money from casinos. Typically this ends very badly for people engaged with it but there are rare exceptions where the ones pulling it off kinda got away with it.

Phil Ivey 'won' 30 million $ via edgesorting but then lost in court
He was only able to withdraw 10 million $ and then he was ordered to pay back even that after losing in court. He did however hide the money in offshore bank accounts but eventually settled with borgata

So even if you are somehow able to outsmart the casino chances are courts are not going to side with you and governments tend to side with casinos in general since they are a cash-cow for the state.

Video poker can still be beaten but it's getting less and less viable
As players have figured out ways to take advantage of it casinos have taken away the better machines. You are probably not even going to be able to make minimum wage from playing that, doesn't seem to be worth putting effort into.
