Have you ever argued with an Intelligent Design (ID) supporter?

I think i tried that 2 times as an experiment kn whisper, both times it failed.

Its a rather difficult thing to argue for since the religious individual will find reasons to believe why a god/designer is needed even though it clearly isn't.

The design does not seem very intelligent to me considering all issues such as cancer and difficulties giving birth.

Humans are the first to be able to design new organisms, everything before 1972 is due to evolution (mutations, natural selection, etc).

But if humanity died out and everything collapsed maybe in the future some scientist would find evidence for intelligence design and they would be able to figure out humans did that, it would not prove the existence of any god.

Irreducible complexity sounds like “I don’t understand it, therefore god exist”.

How can you counter that? it’s literally impossible.
