I don't see any good reason to support shift-up at this point. They are now claiming that the censored version was their vision all along, they also decided to side with sony preventing a lot of people from accessing it without wasting 500$ on a console.
I heard that the patch fixed some issue with the game so they are kinda forcing people to update.
You can actually make an argument in favor of the censored/updated designs (people have different preferences) but if a lot of people want the old versions they should absolutely provide that option. More revealing isn't necessarily better.
It would require very little developer work to add the original versions of outfits but maybe it will be more profitable to release an uncensored PC version later. A lot of people will buy it anyway so they might not actually bother. Unclear if sony is even to blame here.

If you are smart you instead push them to release on PC, then you can mod it as you see fit with whatever clothing you are into.
I will definitely try it if/when it comes to PC so i can test it for myself directly but my expectations are fairly low. Seems like it caters to normies and people who are bad at video-games, will probably be a bore even at the highest official difficulty.
