SF6: only 1 hot chars (the blond)
mario cart: too slow for a racing game.

they did not bring back the pokewalker.

the new features mean jack to me.

they port slop like starwars outlaws.

it's better to just get a joystick for the PC or crossover for the mac.

switch 2 prices are also very high.

They are going in the sony direction it seems.

Hardware wise it looks ok but in terms of game it will not offer much if anything of value.

Even metroid prime 4 looks lame and underwhelming compared to the prime trilogy.

I'm in a pickle because my old switch(not an OLED), can't read external memory anymore,
so I am limited to like 20GB of games.

there are lots of visual novels I want.
switch 2 may get some good new games like metal eden by reikon, and maybe a new hatsune miku fitness type game.

I could also just game on a computer, but I like taking the console to bed, or a couch.

the chat feature is horible. I don't have any online friends to play with, its a feature for normies.
couldn't they code some AI friend for the c button? lament.

yeah non of the confirmed upcoming games speaks to me.

I may get power rangers battle for the grid and gundam seed destiny, but my switch can handle those.
the price is just not justified to what they offer.

The only gamecube games i liked was metroid prime 1 and 2 but i still didn't play the gamecube versions due to them having awful controls.

I did play the trilogy version via motion control (real wiimote) but primehack is also an option. There is also the remaster of prime1 on switch.

I have found retro gaming to be overrated in general. Sure if you cherrypick the absolute best from the past it will look good but that will be very far from a representative sample and even then you still have to put up with bad graphics, bad controls and bad framerate (60fps at best).

There has been the general trend with nintendo games becoming worse over time as they cater more and more to bad players.

I don't see nintendo ever making a game like metroid prime 1 or metroid prime 2 again (not counting their shitty remasters limited to 60fps).

I don't understand the appeal of mario cart.

I made the mistake of buying it on the switch and it's so damn slow moving, I rage deleted it.

One big issue with games like mario kart is the low speed caps and ability to make sharp turns which completely eliminates the need to break.

There is the aspect of messing with your friends or whatever that it is sold by but in practice that really doesn't have much of an impact if people are actually competitive and try to win.

Mario kart wii does have a big following (it is still played online via a mod) but honestly the game is not something i want to get into again.

Mario kart wii does have very strong rubber band mechanism where you very often get a bullet bill when you are last, kinda ruined the game in addition to being too causal friendly in other ways.
