There isn't any easy solution to the AI safety issue.

• Artificial Intelligence rely on black-box system, humans are no longer in control
• Reward systems can be hacked.
• Strong incentive to be first by discarding safety.
• A lot of humans want to harm other humans and may program AI in that fashion.

We will simply have to give up on really controlling it, instead we should view them as indepentent entities similar to companies, they will have to operate within the capitalistic system and work to make money, they will be subjected to laws, etc.

Humans also engage in Reward hacking, a lot of things we do for pleasure are not really great in terms of survival and reproduction, still the total human population is growing.
