While i do find philosophical topics very much interesting i also find myself avoiding pretty much the entire field of philosophy because it comes off as nonsensical or at least devoid of any answers.

It's also interesting how people without any formal philosophy education seems to get things right very easily while people who have spent years with studying philosophy get the most basic things wrong.

This is a common problem in fields insulated too much from the real world, it becomes full of nonsense.

The sleeping beauty problem
For some people a lot of people struggle with this very basic problem even though it's very easy to get to the right answer.

People who think the correct answer is 50% would go broke very quickly if they tried playing online poker.

It is worth noting that when the coin has already been tossed it's fundamentally already determined so this is just a question of knowledge. What we are talking about here is trying to guess the reality of the situation based on the information we have (similar to how someone is more likely to have AKo than 72o after having gone all-in when playing no limit texas hold'em).

that's math not philosophy.
head or tails is always a 50% chance regardless of the previous toss btw.

50% is if you take each throw individually, but if you take a series of throws, then the probability that you will get heads all times is less than if they alternate
