What do the boomers in your life say if you ask them who they favor for the Democratic presidential nomination?

My mom says she supports Bloomberg because she thinks he has enough money to defeat Trump. I tried to steer her in the direction of voting for Gabbard, but I don't know if it'll happen because she's just laser-focused on electability. If she thought Sanders could defeat Trump, she'd probably vote for him.

Klobuchar is at least a smiler; Sanders just comes off as angry 24/7. Doesn't really matter; she'll probably vote for the more famous of the two billionaires, even if one of them is too scared to show up to the debate stage.

We discussed Joe Biden, but I mentioned that Biden's chances in South Carolina are in question because the other billionaire, Tom Steyer, is running a lot of ads there.

Also, I think Bloomberg subconciously appeals to a certain generation because if you take the l, b, and g out of his name, you get Boomer.

Is bloomberg even that electable?

Focusing on electability is a loser strategy, just go for the best candudate and go for the win ir bust.
Apparently Bloomberg has a lot of baggage because of stuff people say he said, and for being a law and order candidate. Basically there's not a whole lot to distinguish him from Trump, aside from the fact he's less Aryan and more successful in the business world than Trump. He doesn't even seem like all that much of a stereotypical Jew, though; I thought his magazine actually was fairly decent.

Anyway, I was able to convince my mom to vote for Gabbard by telling her that maybe Gabbard can do something similar to what Bill Clinton did when he said, "The era of big government is over" -- i.e. steal Trump's thunder when he talks about staying out of regime-change wars.
