Vintologi flag
1zxs1p1.jpg.png

I used the flag above to create a profile picture

vintologi-small-320.png

320x320

transparent versions are

transparent320blue.png

transparent320black.png

If someone creates a nice vintologi text logo i will use that.

It's an .ico file, rather than a .png or anything like that, so that might be the issue.
I noticed logo you created changed color (blue to white) when the background changed from black to dark blue (when you zoom in), i guess this was by design.

I do not have any good ideas for a logo, sure you could to it just using some font but that's a bit lame.

I could spend some time playing with pinta and see if i come up with something nice. We already have a nice v so only have 7 letters left, would be a lot of work though.

We only have limited talent available for logo creation unfortunately. Normally we have the symbol followed by the name of the site and that's about it. Same as what Incels.is does.

Weird stuff happens when you convert .png to .ico. Not sure it's by design; it gives different options for conversion. Might want to check it out in GIMP.

Pretty much anything (even blank) is better than just leaving it saying "XenForo". Another thing you might do, by the way, is have a background picture with a huge V. Then maybe use the logo for something else.

It's a good thing it changes to white, would be hard to read blue text with blue background.

It will probably take something like 60 hours for me to create a nice logo, i have neglected this task for years since i have been focused on my texts instead of aesthetics.

So how should the n be done?

We should add .com after

I switched back to the logo you made, you can see for yourself how it acts.

Just turn the V upside down, cut it in half, and add vertical lines.

I expected it to take longer.

Not sure if i am happy with the g.

I will check for errors and maybe upload pictures of lower resolutions. Current resolution is 4526x1280

I'm not sure this is ideal, but what I usually do is elevate everything to leave room for descenders. You can have the descenders run off the bottom if you want, and just have that part on a transparent background.

That or simply leave the g high up as i have it now.

Switching to big G is also an option. I think i like the current version though so if i am going to edit the logo you might not even notice the difference.

btw: the logo is now 4520x1280, both factors are divisable by 40 now.

Just attached a 226x64 version, looks fine even when compressed a lot.

Just for reference, that's what it looks like with the g moved down. The g should probably have a pointy top like the o's, though. When you're doing this kind of art, you probably want to also have a version that's on a transparent background, to keep your options open.

Yea the shape of the g might not be ideal.

I am at my phone now so i cannot do any further editing now.

It turnes out you can upload the logo to tinypic and it will work that way too, maybe not ideal though. When i first tried using the link to the image hosted on this site i got an error similar to the error we got earlier.

You can see the new logo i made if you switch to the "light" theme.
