There are all these women out there who just use some man as a sperm donor so they can have kids. I would imagine, they want to have companionship without having a man around who can control them; they're in a position to exercise total dominance over their kids, so that works out well for them if they have a domineering kind of personality.
Anyway, any time there's a single parent type of situation, there are a lot of opportunities and motives to have a sexual relationship with the kids, because there's no adult around to say "don't do that" and there's also no adult around to have sex with.
