Seeking to gain proficiency in French

I want to gain proficiency in French, to the point where I can write French Wikipedia articles. I have the following learning program in mind:
  • Do five exercises from Progress with Lawless French every day
  • Read five French Wikipedia articles a day
  • Study a set of verb conjugations a day
Seems like I need practice in writing French, too (e.g. translating articles from English to French), and getting those translations reviewed, and going over the mistakes and what the underlying concepts are so I can understand why it's wrong and what the principle is for getting it right.

It used to be, you could join some church or mutual aid society, and fellow members would help connect you with resources, and if they provided a service, they might give you a discount for being part of the same group. The idea was, what goes around comes around; e.g. if you give me a discount, maybe I'll refer business your way when such opportunities arise, and some of the people from outside the group who become your customers, you'll be charging full price.

I wonder if there's any way to make, say, Vintologi such a cohesive group. Problem is, we're in a situation where being a member of a dissident group can actually HURT your business and employment prospects, rather than helping them, if word about your IRL identity gets out (as may happen, if you're using services like PayPal). I don't think that the masons and the Episcopalians and whatnot had to worry about that so much; they didn't have the media and groups like the SPLC trying to blacklist them.

This is probably why people aren't starting new religions, but rather joining established religions like the Catholics and so on, especially if their families already belong to those churches. The established religions are viewed as being shielded somewhat from that kind of persecution, although a guy like Roosh is still probably screwed (it sounds like, though, he did find some two-bedroom house to live in, so maybe he does have some income? Not sure what the provenance of that might be, though. Maybe some eastern Orthodox dude did help him out with a job or something; who knows.)
