What’s the point of Vim?

Probably this question is a banality, it’s shallow to talk what’s the point of Vim or Emacs.

But I was reading a reddit group, one man was talking about leaving the emacs gang because he had a heart attack and he realized that life is short and after 15 years he saw nothing in emacs anymore. Being hipster when you are old is useless.

Fuck Emacs, fuck Vim. Fuck you if you promote Emacs or Vim.
